Why Do Guys Leave Stuff Behind After Breakups?

And why do guys prolong getting their stuff back after breakups too? It's been almost a week and my ex boyfriend still hasn't come to get his stuff.

He's neglecting to pick up his things because he knows that when he does... that its really over between you guys. If his stuff is still at your house he still has that comfort that maybe there's still a chance.. or at least just to see you one last time.

If you don't feel like playing that game and its really over for you...gather up his things and drop it off at his place, when he's not home.

Either he doesn't want to see you again and therefore isn't bothering to get his stuff,

or he wants to see you again and is using the stuff as an excuse to eventually come over or something.

When I say stuff I should have been more specific. He left some expensive things like his digital camera and external hard drive he uses pretty regularly.

Ah well, who knows. It's hard to read guys sometimes. Have you asked him at all about those things? Are you sure he remembers he left them there?

mine left his bowflex gym set worth about 5 grand. I'm confused. He wanted to break up after a year and a half and I graciously accepted it, and left with my dignity and before doing so I asked him to about picking up his gym machine. But to make matters more confusing, the next day after breaking up with me, he phoned crying and said he didn't want to lose me, I gently replied these things happen and why doesn't he take a few days to relax and take care of what he needs to.

Maybe he doesn't want to come see you again because he might be afriad that you're mad at him or maybe he's just not ready to go back to your house and get his stuff. It takes men a little longer sometimes. I don't know why it just does. And I i think they leave it behind sometimes to remind you of them. It could be that he's just not over you all the way and completely yet. Hopefully this helps :) good luck!
