Yes.
I've been clean coming up 14 years. I wasn't a mean drunk, but even still. I know the last couple of years of drinking, I didn't even want to be around myself. Why would someone else? Drinking feels good for a while. After many years you feel nothing. Then you drink just because. It will only get worse from there.
Blacking out for 2 or 3 days, coming to then seeing various receipts or items so you know you were driving. Panicking about what could have or did happen that you don't know about yet. The helplessness of not being able to stop. Getting arrested (when you get to a certain point arrests are inevitable). And this is just the tip of the iceberg. The cost of the booze. It's not a pretty sight.

Generally, girls don't like a guy that drinks a lot. They may still like the guy, but they do not like that he's drinking a lot. Especially if during a night out the girl has to rely on the guy to get home and he gets drunk, she won't appreciate that. Or when his drinking is standing in the way of a lot of more important things, so he has his priorities all wrong.
Drinking all the time and getting drunk all the time is a big turn off, yes. I'm not much of a drinker, but I'm not a prude about it either... but doing it ALL the time will get old VERY fast and I'd be annoyed that I couldn't do anything with my boyfriend without him having to drink/get drunk. That relationship wouldn't last long at all.
If he's not an alcoholic and capable of drinking without getting drunk, I wouldn't care. The only problem with alcohol (unless you get drunk or have the potential to become an alcoholic) is that alcohol costs a lot of money.
Agreed with the anonymous user below, it is most definitely not a turn on. If he is an alcoholic, that is a turn off, and black out drunk and vomiting is a turn off.

Yes.
I often wonder, who is this person without the alcohol?
If I've never seen you sober then you definitely have a problem. If they are drinking all the time, then yes-total turn off. If it is occasionally like once a month they get a buzz, then it is alright. However the smell of beer on a guy is disgusting. I hate beer and I really hate the smell.
How do you define"a lot"?
Personally,I don't mind guys drinking IF THEY CAN CONTROL THEMSELVES AFTERWARDS.Not really. Half the time I could make sure you don't pull a Jimi Hendrix - and the other half, well, you could hold MY hair back.
Teamwork. :)Yes, my mother was an alcoholic and died of a drug over dose...I hate people who drink a lot.
