So a friend have been arguing about his use of word "date" for context, he'd meet with some girls he knew as they did their thing whether it's shop or something like that then right after they would have sex because that's the main reason they called him out. I've been trying to tell him that's not technically a date then he throws in the fact that couples (he is S I N G L E) have sex after their dates. I try to explain it to him that it's completely different because the COUPLES are in a relationship. Is it a date if someone goes with the other person but one person expects sex after it? Why or why not?

Just asking because a Master Member posted a meme saying that there were no dinosaurs and that it is all made up so checking to see if others have any similar ideas about other things like this?

I've had occasions where whenever I've have an interview I tell people about it and I don't get the job. The times I don't tell anyone - I get the job.

Also I planned a holiday and told some people about it beforehand, I ended up getting covid and my trip got cancelled.

Maybe this is just me thinking very negatively. What are your thoughts?

I can't sleep with socks on unless I'm sick or it's too cold in my room, which is very rare since I prefer the cold. I need my toes to be freeee 😂😂😂

I'm still childless at the age of 29. I just didn't realize time would go by so fast.

I've been spending my years on education, playing video games, traveling to places, going on cruises, etc. I just though I never wanted kids. I do admit telling a past ex boyfriend ''If you ever get me pregnant, I'm solving the issue faster. I believe in modern medicine and procedures, not god nor religion.'' I used to tell a close friend that it would be great if I never got pregnant ever.

Fast-foward to present time:

Here I am and now it's different. It's been nearly 6 months that I've been having baby fever. I can't believe I said all those things. Are you surprised I'm childless?

Me and my boyfriend have just bought our first house together, we've still got all the paperwork to get through so nothing is official yet but fingers crossed it's ours.

We only went in to look at it to be noisy at first but we instantly fell in love. We couldn't get the house out of our minds I'm still so excited I can't believe soon it will be ours.

It's in a great area and we got it for so cheap to because it's a fixer but it's a 3 bedroom Victorian house. Me and my partner think it's gorgeous. It still has a lot of the original Victorian features in it like the fireplaces and doors.

It's so, so pretty. Me and my boyfriend are very much into vintage stuff. I just think vintage never goes out of style and it's so classic whilst modern houses are tacky and cheaply made. It's all to flashy and tends are constantly changing. I really hate all this grey what's in fashion right now. It's your house it needs lots of light, colour and character to make you feel at home.

a lot of our friends and family have mixed views on the house and think we need to turn it modern but we like it the way it is and we our just gonna work around it. I'd hate to ruin such a stunning house I feel so lucky to hopefully been living in soon.

When these three words are spoken in your local accent how difficult are they to tell apart?
If you hear the sentence "this year I'm having surgery on my ear so I can hear." Your brain automatically realises which is which. But spoken alone without context it can be difficult in some accents.
