I switched gyms and saw GC for the first time 4 months ago. He’s quiet and focused on his workouts. I planned to leave state for 2 months so I figured I’d start a small convo before leaving to get his number. We had 3 convos over 3 days. On the third day, he said “while you have your phone out, take my number”. Then he asked, will you come back at all [from your trip]?

I took this as in he was interested in me.

I sent him a text with my first name only. So I asked before we left the gym if he’d like to hang out before I leave state. He said, “I have to be transparent, I have a girlfriend but things have been rocky and I don’t want to cross boundaries. She has an PA exam in May and I’m waiting until then.” He also is moving to CO in the fall and already told her last week not to move out there for him.

Over the next two days, he made the first move to strike up convo at the gym. I asked why he gave me his number and he said, “I didn’t want to miss an opportunity if she and I break up.”

I told him I’d wait for him to text me to let me know if anything changes and I wouldn’t contact him to be respectful of his relationship.

He found my social media and looks at my stories but hasn’t followed me. I believe he visits his girlfriend on the weekend (yesterday and today) and he viewed my stories both days in the morning and evening. I also think he found out that I’m 5 years older than him.

They’ve been together for 7 years (17-25yo). They both have deep Christian faiths. Their parents were college roommates. They played coed sports together in HS.

Am I just a shiny toy, distraction, rebound?

Because I know people who have a beautiful feature but are not attractive. If a guy tells a woman that her eyes are amazing and beautiful does it usually indicate that he finds her pretty or not necessarily?

Live to work- You absolutely love your job and love what you do. Going to your job is pleasurable and fun. You don't consider it work.

According to what i've seen, men want to be with a girl who they can take control of, someone who is submissive and listens to what they say, this includes overly submissive girls who let their partner use them for various things, and who will do anything for their partner, but i'm a dominant woman and I'd like to know how small the pool of submissive men is, so I can gauge my chances of finding a long term partner suited to my needs.

I started uni very recently and before it started, i had become friends with a guy who's going to the same department as mine on social media. We exchanged texts daily and the exchange was playful and fun. He even said we'd be inseparable close friends by graduation and i expected so too. but unfortunately, we didn't get into the same class, which virtually means we won't have contact with each other even on the same campus because classes are completely separate. Still, last week when uni started, we finally met for an info session at uni and went to lunch together before that. I enjoyed chatting with him because it was very easy to talk to him and i assumed he did too, but later that day when I texted him and suggested that we hang out again sometime soon after class, he texted me back and said not anytime soon bc he'll be busy with classes and other activities, strangely also adding that he would prefer to hang out in a group next time even if there's next time. i'm sure he's not in a relationship and i never suggested anything romantic and i genuinely just want to hang out with him again because it was fun chatting with him. since then, his replies got very slowly and much shorter. On top of that, i asked him this week if he'd like to go to an interesting uni event this week after class with me and when he finally replied he shortly just said he'd take a rain check (as his classes end before noon that day and the event is in the evening) and suggested i ask someone else particularly in my class out. I can't help feeling he's no longer interested in maitaining our still new friendship. and it's realistically very likely to just fizzle out as i don't see him at uni and texting is pretty much the only communication between us. Should i just let it naturally fade away without trying to keep the texting going and just forget about him or try to keep in touch with him by still sending him messages?

I really want to do both but I’ll have to pick one eventually. I’m not looking to do anything professional, just for fun. I’m going to start skate school soon and once I get used to the ice a bit more, maybe then I’ll be able to decide. Both seem very very fun though! But I am also wondering what I’d look like to others. Men usually play ice hockey and women usually do figure skating, not many do the other. How would a guy or a girl react to me playing hockey?

Before, I was homeless, unable to afford a place. Now, with a better income, I live in a condo. Despite the expense of 1500 rent. I'm content because it's close to work. However, my job is affecting my mental health, and the country's racism makes it hard to belong. My brain and body is already asking me to find a new job. In Malaysia I work, I felt lonely really lonely until I met Hamzah, with whom he become my boyfriend for over a year. But, he is returning to Iraq after his PhD on August this year. I felt afraid if ever he will come back as he is also clueless of his future.

I'm torn between staying in my current condo or moving to a cheaper hotel as my contract ends this May. Should I stay or move considering my uncertain future and desire to move to Canada?

If I stay in condo I can only save 2500 with strict discipline and in hotel I can save 2900. 400 difference per month.

As in approach first whether it’d be online or in person? I honestly was always under the impression that men were more likely to make the first move, I think that was true in the past but think the times are somewhat evolving. Guys are probably still more likely to do it but with Bumble along with the fact that I’m hearing women today talking more about sending a dm to their current boyfriend/fiancé/husband just backs it up. I’m reserved & old fashioned so I’m not with the majority of women
