My friends were fed up with me crying and complaining about not getting respect and people disrespecting me but I don’t do NOTHING about it and they tried helping me stand up for myself but I am too afraid. My guy best friend said, “You know what? We don’t know what to do anymore. I guess you LOVE being treated so badly do you? We tried helping you. I guess you’re too much of a coward to have self respect. You want someone to get into your face huh? Yeah you like when I get in your face don’t you? Don’t you? You wanna man to get into your face and disrespect YOU! That’s what you love.” He got in my face. Then my girl best friend said, “Yeah you LOVE when people disrespect you huh? You want people to yell at you IN YOUR FACE. You wanna be the weak ass woman that has no respect for herself? Yes I will get into your face. YOU won’t anything since YOU DON’T HAVE THE HANDS TO FIGHT!” She got in my face. They kept doing it until I screamed at them to stop and then they said, “Then start standing up for yourself then! Instead of being a coward and acting like a little girl, be a woman and stand up for yourself damn it!”
Don’t you think they were being rude for getting in my face to teach me a lesson?

I’m really curious, because this type of guy is the one who gets all the prettiest girls. Would he feel like it’s a downgrade?

Has anyone tried no shampoo for a long while and just use water to rinse out dirt and debris from hair? I heard shampoos hav awful ingredients much like the majority of food in America. Shampoo makes our hair more greasy then Usual and strips away even some of our natural oils. Well, ik there are bad shampoos and good ones, but I am curious if no shampoo really makes a difference. Plus id be saving a lot of money.

For a month I tried washing my hair once a week and i felt greasy over the 3 day mark. So I am now currently trying no shampoo until i feel like a slimy mushroom. Im on day 5 without shampoo lol i feel clean still as if I used shampoo.

I have not and never will cheat. Reason being because if I want to date or have sex with other people I’m just going to stay single.

It is almost impossible to significantly reduce without medical treatment, and the treatment would be temporary since the fat will grow back.

Hey everyone, I (33F, African American) need some perspective on a recent conflict that arose between my boyfriend (31M, African American) and me. We've been in a long-distance relationship, as he lives down south while I'm up in the northeast. We had a strong emotional connection, exchanged love notes, and even discussed marriage. Here's where things got complicated. My mom is planning to visit his city in a few months, and she doesn't know about our relationship yet. I intended to reveal it to her once we became more serious. However, my mom has always insisted that I should only date Caucasian men, believing they would treat me better. I find her beliefs challenging to deal with, and we often argue about them. When I shared my mom's visit plan with my boyfriend, he encouraged me to go with her. However, I expressed my concerns about being in close quarters with my mom due to our strained relationship and her strong opinions about dating African American men. I wanted to be honest with him, as he deserved to know about my mom's views. Unfortunately, he became angry and went on a rant. He questioned why I didn't challenge my mom's beliefs and stated that he no longer had romantic feelings for me. He even listed his family's accomplishments and the fact that his parents are still together, highlighting the contrast with my own family situation. I was hurt by his reaction, and in the heat of the moment, I responded with a curt "ok good, bye," and blocked him on social media. Now, I'm feeling conflicted and would appreciate some perspective. Was I wrong to share my mom's views with him? How would you handle a situation like this? I'm open to hearing different opinions and understanding who might be at fault here.
