Some guy who posted about the new NYC mayor just blocked me because I did not agree with his opinion. I think it's a sign of insecurity. What do you think?

The key question for the justices on Wednesday was whether the president exceeded his authority when he used the 1977 emergency statute. Past presidents have relied on the law to impose sanctions or embargoes on other countries, but Mr. Trump is the first to use it to impose tariffs.

The conservative majority speakers suggested the administration’s position could represent an unconstitutional delegation of legislative power to the executive branch that would be difficult for Congress to reclaim. Justice Gorsuch warned of “a one-way ratchet toward the gradual but continual accretion of power in the executive branch and away from the people’s elected representatives” in Congress.

The justices grappled with a doctrine favored by the conservative legal movement. The Supreme Court’s conservative majority repeatedly relied on the “major questions doctrine” to invalidate many of President Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s key initiatives, including his student loan forgiveness program. The doctrine says presidential initiatives with “vast economic or political significance” must be clearly authorized by Congress.

The Trump administration has proposed or issued tariffs that cover roughly a third of U. S. imports under a nonemergency provision related to national security.

If the justices were to rule against Mr. Trump, the administration says it would be forced to unwind trade deals with other countries. The government might also have to pay billions in refunds to importers.The result could lead to economic ruin akin to the Great Depression. "It’s simply implausible” that Congress had “handed the president the power to overhaul the entire tariff system and the American economy in the process, allowing him to set and reset tariffs on any and every product from any and every country, at any and all times.”

I have a genetic condition which shortens my lifespan. Males with my condition burn in the 90s are expected to live 37-45 years. While currently, my health is actually 10% above normal, the clock is ticking as I'm already 26. I feel like it's selfish for me to want a wife and kids when I know I won't be around for the foreseeable future, even if I found someone now. I'd be proceeding, knowing she and the child won't have me around for long, which I consider selfish of me. But I can't help but wonder if maybe a woman can fully understand and accept this. I currently doubt it, since we always think things will be okay, even when they really aren't. Is my desire for love misplaced selfishness?

I can’t get dates and I can’t get matches. I tried a new dating site and to my horror. Nil matches and activity. I went my whole life without a girlfriend
The older I become the more it seems less likely to happen. I work so hard that after work I feel exhausted and there’s no where to meet girls. I’ve given up alcohol too so that takes away a lot of socialising. Girls don’t even show any interest in me anyway. I feel like I would get more success if I were a gay man and not straight 🤦
Even if I were to meet a girl I don’t know how to date and move things forward. I question if dating has always been this impossible or if it is to do with modern abundance and quest for perfection, social media’s standards of a ripped body. Who knows…. but it seems way harder than getting my degree.

By Apple projecting a simplified iPhone layout onto the car’s central screen, CarPlay lets you use apps such as Apple Maps, Spotify, make hands-free calls, and dictate text messages. It is seamless, free, and loved by millions of iPhone owners.

Last month, General Motors announced that new cars made by the auto giant won’t support CarPlay and its counterpart, Android Auto. Surveys suggest that CarPlay and Android Auto are considered must-have features among many new-car shoppers. But according to GM, the company can create an even better experience for drivers by dropping Apple and making its own software. And like it or not, car makers are watching carefully.

GM has gone as far as invoking Apple in defending its decision: Remove a feature, such as the disk drive on a laptop, and people eventually adapt and move. GM the change “will happen over time, not overnight” and “if your car supports Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, that will continue.” Before its announcement, GM had already nixed CarPlay and Android Auto in EVs. But it’s not CarPlay. Some popular apps are missing, such as Apple Podcasts and Apple Music.

There is one other crucial difference. Because GM’s software isn’t tied to a phone like CarPlay is, access to the full suite of software requires its own data plan—through GM, of course. (The cheapest plan costs $10 a month.) Get used to these kinds of subscriptions, regardless of what kind of car you drive. In recent years, automakers have realized how much money they can make from in-car technology: Maybe they charge a subscription fee for hands-free highway cruise control. Maybe they charge for apps that let you control aspects of the car from your phone. Maybe they sell data that your navigation system collects about you.
