This couple that I know.

Before they got together, they are always on their phones, even when they are hanging out with each other or with other people. Sometimes, the guy would randomly openly tease her and she would smile.

After getting together, they are still on their phones despite being next to each other (No, they are not playing the same apps or smt like that. They indulge in their own apps.)

I see some other couples do this as well where both partners are beside each other but using phones all the time, even when eating at restaurants.

It's like there is almost no communication between the two persons.

With me though, the girl can be communicative, so I don't think she is necessarily the quiet type, although it's normal for her to be quiet around new faces.

Has anyone been in such a relationship? Can this kind of relationship really work?

One of my closest reconnected friends F21 recently told me something that happened to her by her boyfriend of two years. He has been doing sexual acts to her without asking for months and recently has been putting his genitals in her bottom and not lubricating or saying anything at all. Like not even asking if it’s okay.. she hasn’t said anything because she’s afraid to. She’s very shy and shuts down when things like this that are horrible happen. I told her this isn’t okay and that you should both be on the same page of what’s happening sexually between each other. They’ve been having other issues besides this also. She said he was very rough during it and she bled also. She’s struggling with understanding that it is considered as SA. I wanted to take a pole to see what other woman think. She needs to hear others opinions besides mine as I’m the only one who knows. Also advice on how to help her through this would be much needed too. Thank you.
