Does she raise a good point?

My mum suggested that any man who pretends that he’s sick after inviting you out on a date, to blow you off, even if you’re only in a casual relationship, who doesn’t respect you enough to eat dinner with you, isn’t worthy of hooking up with.

I only wanted something casual in the beginning; because I was feeling lonely for a man’s touch, after going 6 years without and his touch is the best I’ve ever had. Is respect more important than having a good time? Am I best to drop him; when there are nicer guys hitting on me for relationships?

I mean, other guys, as in wanting to properly date. Not just have sex. I don’t have a reputation, because I hooked up with someone from really far away who isn’t from the same social circles I’m involved with. I’m also very careful of whom I share this stuff with. So I come across in behaviour and nature as someone who only wants to fall in love.
