My preference has changed!

I'm a light skinned black woman. Lately I've noticed I have started to take interest in white males.

I've always thought some white guys were cute but now I think I prefer them...So my question is, if you have a preference for a certain type of guy/woman do you always end up marrying them? I think some black guys are cute as well ☺ I just think I'm starting to be more attracted to white guys and think I would rather date them.

I have a feeling it's going to be hard for me to date white males because I hear a lot that white guys that do like African American women who are darker. I've dated black guys and had crushes on black guys. I've also had crushes on white guys but I've never dated/talked/or went out with one and I want to start but a lot of people tell me because I'm light. It will be a bit hard because in today's society you see white guys with darker brown😊☺

Anyway, the men who are into dating outside of their own,
are into whatever is attractive.
Skin tone has little to do with it.
If you have plain features or are not desirable looking the least bit , then pretty much no guy will find you attractive (yet alone even your own race).

Sure, some people may prefer a certain skin tone.
But if you look fantastic overall they will not care.

You're still just as black as any black girl.
Whether you're on the lighter side or the darker side, it doesn't mean you are less or more black.
We all have the same phenotypes.

I always hear people talk about preference. But they do change over time. I used to be more into blond. Now my preference has changed a lot. I'm now more into dark (er) skinned but open for anything.

Having a preference does not mean you end up with them. A white friend of mine that I have know since we were kids never, ever, EEEEEVEERRRR liked black girls. But now he married a black girl and they want a child together. Great, I love it.

A white female friend of mine always told me she like blond guys. But now she is living with a dark skinned guy and I am sure they'll marry one day. Great, I love it.

Go head and just like whoever you like. Just don't put in your mind you cannot get with a white guy (or any other guy). Always put in your mind "YES I CAN". It will make you do the stuff to succeed.

@Aud_Queen No kidding, really I've never heard it. For me it just seems silly cause that would never have occurred to me. I honestly find the light tone to be very attractive but I've seen a number of darker skin toned women that I thought were very attractive as well so for me it doesn't matter. A lot of women you posted here are really very attractive women.

Its not that white guys prefer dark black girls, its just that more dark black girls are interested in dating white guys. Light black girls have more success with attracting black guys, and tend to prefer black guys, especially dark black guys. Dark black girls tend to have a smaller dating pool within their race than light black girls so to increase their dating prospects some will expand to other races. White men like light skinned black women there's just fewer of them to available.
