Old School Relationship: What's The Man's Role?

A lot of people who become traditionalist as a counter culture. However, it's not really taught what are the roles of the guys in these kinds of relationships. If you have a woman enjoys doing anything to make the guy happy. The guy has responsibilities in this kind of relationship.

1. Be Kind

If you evil to your wive/girlfriend, you won't have one for much longer. Much like a cool manager at a job, you can be in charge with out being a prick. Focusing on being dominant or alpha male is plain wrong. Respect her boundaries, whether they sexaul, verbal ,or moral. Your girlfriend/ wife is going out on a limb being submissive. If you abuse her too much she will take her submission back,and you will see what a dominant vindictive women is.

2. Made Your Home an Open Space

Honesty is the best policy. It's also you responsibility to ensure that your home is a open space. Once a week, call family meetings to bring people wants and needs to the table. Free flow of ideals and criticism is essential. A resolution of problems together is a necessary thing for bonding. Chores should be set and the discipline for failing to do chores should be clear. Split up the cleaning I will be responsible for one half of the house ,the girl will be responsible for the other. If you have children make sure they will get their cut of cleaning to assigned to them too. For those who are more shy, you can meet with them separately. Respect your kids individuality and don't talk down to them.

3. Being a Living Jungle Gym

If you have kids, they are probably going to climb all over you. Especially, if they are wresting with you. Kids will like cuddling, hugging you,sitting in you lap, or any means of touching you. Your girlfriend/ wife will do the same thing ,but for different reasons.

4. Nurturer and Mentor

Whether a kid is going though their first break up. Had a bad day at school or fell over trying to ride a bike for the first time You let then cry on your shoulders, dust them off ,give advice and get them back out there. Building independence and resilience. As a husband/ boyfriend your woman is going to have to deal with family deaths ,past pains ,and insecurities. Being supportive is necessary. You should encourage you wive/girlfriend to move up her career latter, work for a better car ,or other improvements. Don't forget to praise her or the children for what they do well. You don't want to leave people feeling unappreciated.

Quick Tips

1. Wear out the kids by playing sports or games. A game of tag touch football does the trick. bathe them and put them to bed.
2. It's not to uncommon for the guy to cook breakfast and the girl to cook dinner or vise versa.
3. Put you wive/girlfriend to sleep all it takes is about a 10-20 min back rub and playing with her hair for most. With the kids asleep and her asleep you have the rest of the night to yourself.
