Growing distances even in the same room?

I am a people person and I enjoy watching others interact. Here lately, I have been noticing that couples come in to local shops to eat, but as they sit together and eat, they hardly say anything to each other. Most of the time is spent on their cellphones etc. without so much as a second glance. It seems that romance has been pushed aside for technology.

Maybe I am old-fashioned but I want to talk to my partner tell her about my thoughts and hear hers. I wanna look into her eyes and tell her daily just how important she is to me. Has it been replaced? Emojis are cute but are they a substitute for I love you?

I think schools need to teach social skills and communication skills because it seems like we are losing touch for all devices cannot take the place of love and that is how I see it.

Like most things in life there are pros and cons, with technology the world has become a much smaller place with everyone instantly accessible but face to face maybe even deeper conversation have suffered. So again another generalisation is needed to finish point maybe we need a happy medium.

In this current climate I think from time to time we need to put the phones , tablets, computer and gadgets away and learn to lol together. Talk to one another. Hugz thank you for your input. 🍀🐶🍀
