4 Wonderful Things About True Love

In the artificial marvel that is the 21st century, can someone still believe in something that the rest of the world had left behind as useless, delusional, fairy-tale fodder? I'm speaking of course, of true love.

Here are 4 wonderful things about true love that keep me believing, against all the odds.

1. Eternal companionship

In this life, we are always seeking companionship. Some seek it through friends, some through a pet. Others through community interaction. For the romantic, the ultimate form of companionship is with their true love. Of course, other things are important too, but nothing would come before precious time with my eternal companion.

2. Someone to be there for you

This kinda ties in with number one. Sometimes, we just need someone to be there to comfort us, support us, and help us through a rough time. Your true love will not only be willing to be there for you, he or she will want to be the one you turn to. Someone once said to me "simplicity is beautiful", and I agree 100%. It's amazing what a difference simple gesture like a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on, or just a hug can make.

3. Doing cute things for each other

Sometimes the greatest joys in a romantic relationship with your true love are the cute little things you do for each other, like handwritten letters.

4. Sharing a moment together

These are the moments that last a lifetime. Watching the sun set, dancing to a song you both love, maybe just lying on the grass looking up at the sky. True love is forever, but it can also be a moment. That, to me, is the beauty of true love.

I wholeheartedly agree with this take.
In today's world it seems to me, that something as foundational as true love has been gone almost extinct and was replaced by power and money. The sad thing is, that people don't bother with making themselves accountable and desirable with good intentions.

I find cute little things in a working relationship way more exciting and fancier and more valuable than paid and scripted romantic dates to impress someone. The former proves plentiful qualities in a person, that makes them desirable and the latter proves kinda like a rushed and desperate thing in attempt to impress (and buy the relationship) a person through power, which renders said person with less integrity and self respect. Personally I find the latter really disgusting.

Today the world runs on a basis of power and wealth. Only the lucky ones possess them and not everybody can be one - as in it is being run by a group of might. But that's just my little philosophy.

Appreciate the sentiment , but humans are just too flawed , plus the genders are wired so differently mentally , women & men are poles apart in most respects , therefore conflict is inevitable in any hetero relationship , true love & " soulmates " do not exist in reality.
