I agree with you. But I am a woman and wrote this from my personal experience. You're welcome to do the same.
You *can* "just leave". Some women (and men) will internalize abuse. Some will not accept it and cut it off at the first sign of the abusive behavior. That decision is dependent on self-esteem.

I stopped responding when you replied with "when a girl respects her man".
I didn't do anything wrong to this man except try to love him, even when he didn't deserve it. I gave him respect when no one else did, even now that I know he didn't deserve it.
The only fault of mine was staying when I didn't have to. I should have left sooner. He could have killed me. He could have killed the child I carried. I'm lucky that I'm not one of the other statistics.
You're neglecting to acknowledge that some people are just not of sound mind. This man had mental issues of some kind that were unresolved. I tried to help resolve them, which could hint to a mental issue of my own, but he didn't want it or he didn't think he was doing anything wrong.
No one deserves that.

People aren't perfect, some men might slap their wives but they should know that their wives haven't left as much as they love them, so it's time to change and do your job as a man which giving the safety and protection for you wife and not the opposite, she gave you her lifr and herself, now it's your responsibility to take care of her, if you lose her, it means you have lost everything.

It not always women who get abused physically or verbally, men get abused ethier mentally or physically by their partner.
They can just leave if they seek help, often times they won't listen to reason.
