Relationships are not a thing that just happens to you. They are forged like a sword, or the Rings of Power. The idea of falling in love, like you just tripped over a tree toot and there was this person, and the love just spilled all over you is dumb.

Likewise, the excuse that you can cheat on your girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or wife by accident is a complete crock. Relationships are not a thing that jus happens to us, we have to make them, intentionally and with effort.

If you're having a fight, and you meet someone and have a torrid fling, you did that on purpose. Maybe you did it out of spite, or maybe you have a fragile sense of character, I don't care, but an affair is not something that just blows all over you in the wind like cat hair or pollen. You did it. On purpose.

Similarly, the right person doesn't just blow in on the winds of fate, or get tagged by some naked baby archer. If you're waiting for someone to slam into you like a Hammerhead Corvette into a Star Destroyer, you're going to be waiting a long time. Or you'll think fate has thrown dozens of partners at you, and you'll create a moral mess for everyone concerned.

If you're looking, I strongly suggest putting in the effort to create the relationship you want. It's not going to just sprout up at your feet like those weeds in the backyard patio cracks.

Yeah I absolutely agree with you and most of the relationships that seem too good to be true, this is exactly because they are too good to be true.

A real relationship takes work (cheating is something that can never be recovered from) and people need to figure it out if they can work through things or if the relationship just ain’t meant to be.

Many people who live in this fantasy land where all the effort will be given to them and they don’t have to offer anything in return those relationships if the other person has self respect will realize there are so many other people out there who will genuinely show me the same effort.

A good story is just that, a good story. This is real life though and real love takes time. It should go at its own pace not too fast or too slow. If someone’s rushing marriage within the first year people need to ask themselves if there is something else going on here, likewise if someone’s future faking and hasn’t been married in 10 years but for the last decade has proposed over and over without following through.

Maybe at first it’s easy getting through the “talking stages” but as you start getting more serious things are going to get harder. There will be challenges that arise that you either work through or you grow apart.

Also, people who sleep around will never find a genuine connection with someone. Getting into relationships based off of sex is a dead end. You’ll never find it. So pick what you want if you wanna fuck around or if you want something real. People who want it both ways many times get someone good and cheat on them
