How legitimate are drunk compliments? Is it possible for a guy to genuinely believe his girl is the prettiest he's ever met?

My boyfriend and I threw a house party on the weekend and when everyone else left he made me sit on him and grabbed my face in his hands. He then told me I was the prettiest girl he's ever met (and proceeded to fondle my bewbs hahah)

Anyways, although it was a sweet compliment, he was drunk and I doubt someone can think their girlfriend is the most attractive they've ever met.

Or can they?

Also we've been together for nearly three years if that counts for anything. So it's not like we're freshly dating.

Huh. I was about to say no but then I read the 3 years thing so that kinda killed my oxytocin theory. Perhaps he thinks you are the prettiest he has ever "met" as in actually dated. Realistically, you probably are not the prettiest girl he has ever physically laid eyes on.
