What does it mean when a girl wants you to claim her?

Anonymous
Have you ever say something to a girl without meaning it but she took it seriously? Apparently I told a female friend that she was going to be my girlfriend if she doesn't find someone in couple months as a joke but her reaction was a little puzzling. She looked at me with a straight face, said yeah right, I didn't say anything then said OK. I find that sometimes I tend to tell jokes to girls with a straight face, they don't know whether I'm being serious or not. I found out she's being telling a guy who has a crush on her that I claimed her now but I never made a move on her. I liked her the first time I met her, ask her out, I got rejected 3 times to the point where I said FUCK IT, move on with my life. After a year, I found out she liked me but paid no attention to it, decided to do what I wanted by meeting, dating, sleeping with other girls. It turns out that This girl was either in love with me or had a crush on me for 3 1/2 years, she is the type of girl who can hide their intentions/emotions very well. 2 weeks ago, we were talking, She started telling me her business how she's sleeping with some guy which I wasn't paying attention, then asked me why I never made a move on her, She said that I'm her ideal man, I'm the type of guy who she will spend the rest of her life with and told me that if I still wanted a relationship, she will drop the guy in a heartbeat to be with me and wants me to claim her. She said that I belong to her and wants me to show her I truly want her and ready to have a relationship with me. we've known each other as friends for 4 years and went to the same university. her first year, my 3rd year in university, we were in the same class, I developed a crush but I felt like she was playing games with me, dropped, put her in the friend zone and never looked back. Now after 4 years, everything is coming to light.
