What does it mean when a guy asks you to text him but never texts you?

Guys, why do guys do this?

I text him, then he chats with me and mentions the text when I see him, but he never texts me...

Does he not wanna be my friend? :(

It certainly differs in each situation, but most guys I know hate phones. Even the ones in long distance relationships, they (myself included) hate talking on the phone, texting, and everything about it. This could be just my group of friends, though.

I wouldn't take it personally. He must want to be your friend if he chats with you and asks you to text him. It could be as simple as his cellular plan-maybe he is just limited by that right now.

If you're not getting the participation you'd like with texting, you can always try old-school passing notes or something

OMG! I used to ask myself the same thing! this guy would always be like why haven't you texted me and its like do you not have fingers to text me? lol but turns out later on that I found out he liked me and he still does like me but he has yet to text me guys are just complicated!
