What does it mean if a guy does not text you one day?

What does it mean when a guy is not consistently texting or talking to you? I know girls tend to freak out if you hang out with him one day and the next day he doesn't text or contact you at all, and then a day later he talks. Does his lack of talking mean anything? I feel like if a guy likes you he'd want to talk to you everyday. you know?

Men have a one track mind. That doesn't mean the are always thinks about sex it means when they are thinking they tend to try to only think about the one thing. Because the tissue between the two halves of the male brain is four times less than in a womans he tends to use one or the other rather than using them collaboratively. One half controls emotion, one half controls critical though and logic. Because of this if men are really upset its hard for them to focus. Also if men are really focused they tend not to think of things that elicit emotion reactions from them. Men can go an entire day tackling on problem then the other and not thinking about emotional things at all.

He probably isn't to shy or trying to avoid you, he probably was busy with something. You are probably someone he has emotion for in some sense as one would for a friend, or more; and he was too busy to text/call you.

Hahah thanks! I just don't get it. he doesn't regularly text me but he does text sometimes. so is he just texting out of boredom?

It could be out of boredom, though its probably when he is thinking of you and is in a situation when he could text. Not to mention as I guy I wouldn't want to text someone daily; I don't want to pester my faverite people.

Hi, I'm going through the same thing! We go out and everything is great but then I'm left with this overwhelming anxiety because he doesn't text me for a few days but when he does everything is fine but then for another several days i hear nothing from him! I do start the conversation because i get frustrated and that goes well but again his contact with me isn't consistent.. I'm not clingy but I am very confused on where i stand with him especially when we go out almost every week.. am I just a friend? or am I something more?
I truly feel a guy who is interested would show more interest instead of a pop in every few days to say "Hey" and then nothing again... Might I also add these "Hang outs" he initiates all of them..

well I guess it depends on the guys personality, if he's shy he may just be too busy or scared to text you with thoughts of it being annoying to text on a daily basis, his lack of talking might only mean that he's busy or doesn't want to be annoying, just because he doesn't text you every day doesn't mean he doesn't want to to talk to you.

Hahah are you sure? like I feel like if people want to talk to people they do. especially guys. like he's not shy. and every guy that's done this before hasn't really been shy. do they try and seem like theyre not desperate? or do guys not care about that?

Yeah, well even he's not shy, guys don't want to seem to needy/ desperate or annoying...well unless everyone knows he is.. but that's besides the point, they don't want to come on so quickly for fear of giving their all and then being rejected.
