Is this a legit 'I miss you' text?

Last week my girlfriend revealed to me that she couldn't stand me, we have been together for 4 years. After a long talk we decided to work through this, as she feels we have lost the spark but I still love her and dedicated to us. It hurt me to hear her say she couldn't stand me but she said she still cares for me.

She had an operation 3 days ago and is on loads of medication for the pain. She texted me just now saying she misses me but she texted me last night as well asking how I was due to my Mum being in hospital.
Would this be the medication talking or her generally saying she misses me?

When people are angry they say many stupid things my mum once said she sometimes wished i wasn't born. Maybe in the moment she meant it but in reality, my mum really loves me. Soo.. get your arse to her and be there for her when she is in pain and needs someone to lean it, being there for someone makes them love you more, being absent when they need makes them detached from you.

Soo.. go and be there for her when she needs you otherwise :/

Having had an operation, she's probably having to take it easy, thus giving her time to think over anything and everything.
I doubt very much that it's the medication and just that she's had time to reflect on everything and is more than likely regretting, at least, how she treated you and spoke to you recently.

I'm sure she actually misses you. You were a huge part of her life for 4 years. She probably loves you but maybe isn't in love with you. Just because she doesn't want to be in a relationship with you doesn't mean she wants you out of her life.
