The past defines a person into who they are in the present. You can also determine a persons character by knowing how they treated their ex partners.

I don't believe a person should be judged by past mistakes they made in previous relationships. Sometimes being with the wrong person can bring out the worst in someone. If someone judged me by past my then i'd ensure i put them in it.

Most people have a past history with someone else. Learning about each others past relationships helps to build trust and discover who one another is.

yes I think it does. Because our past made us into what we are today. We (hopefully) learned from it and improved ourselfs.

Of course that is just generally speaking, and it might be a bit different if someone was in jail in the past, and especially what for...

But even then, it should matter more, who a person is today.

You haven't clarify whose past... your past or other person's past or your past with that person... well I think that the only past that matters in a relationship is your past with that person.
