How often should my boyfriend take me out?

We're both home bodies and also trying to save money. He used to go out all the time with other girls. He wants a future with me, is going to propose marriage to me soon.
He took me out someplace to go for a walk last week. A couple weeks before took me for dinner for our monthly but we both paid...

I know from his social media he did pretty much go out to outside places or drinking a lot with previous girls.

He he is thoughtful with me about finding movies or picking things to do inside. He does put thought in, but it's for indoors stuff.

I want to talk to him. Also know if this is ok? I never have gone out much. I don't want to plan our dates for us.

He should invite you out (and pay) as often as you invite him out (and pay).
Anything less means one or the other is being exploited, and that's a recipe for failure.
You do it when you can both afford it. That will depend on what you are investing your money in, and how much is left over. If investment in the future takes a high priority, there may not be much until you get established.

I think you should plan some of your dates. It makes the relationship much more balanced. Also, whether you go out or not is up to you, but I think whoever has more money should be the one to pay - if you are also getting paid, you shouldn't just leech from your boyfriend unless he offers to do so (or if you have no money on you).

He makes way more than me, and it's frustrating because a lot of times places only take cash but he doesn't have any. So I pay for him too. I don't think he realizes it's making things tight. It would just be nice to be taken out... He took me out but we both paid, and he made a fuss that he was taking us out. Just surprised me.
