Does it mean something that my girlfriend forgets that she's told me things ALL the time?

... she keeps on telling me things that she's told me before again as if she never told me? What does this mean? Do you think she's been telling them to so many people that she's forgotten that she's told me? Is something going on here?

... i can't understand it, she never used to have a problem with this, it's only the last month or so

This happens to me ALL THE TIME with my friends and SO. It doesn't mean much to me, it's just something I do and don't know the cause of. We could hang out for an hour or two and i can guarantee you'll hear the same story, news, or joke from me at least twice. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it gets really bad.

Try asking her. Know one knows why she does things better than she does. For me, when I do this kind of thing, I just simply forget that I told someone about it. I remember what they said, and what we talk about, just not what my reply was

... well not exactly, she's is a Veterinary Doctor.. but dirty blonde yeah haha

3. Despite their claims to the contrary, not all women are capable of multitasking. However, I would expect a veterinarian to be well practiced at multitasking because, for most of them, it is essential to their daily routine.

What are your thoughts on the significance of this behavior?

Fairly recent, it's only the last 4-5 weeks i can remember noticing it.. she doesn't really seem like the hyperactive type, our conversations are usually face to face without many (if any) distractions, if we're doing things we don't usually talk about important things just joke about etc.. I'm not overly sure what i think it means, but it does seem like she must not remember our conversations too much, or else she might just talk to so many people that she forgets that she's told me things (she is very social to the nth degree) but it's only been a problem of late... we usually talk for 1-3 hours a day

It could be a response to an emotional stressor in her life. Short term memory loss can also be a sign of neurological disorders; this is very unlikely at her age but it shouldn't be overlooked. Are there any problems with her speech, balance, gait, any tremors, asymmetry in facial appearance?
