Boyfriend gets all lovey dovey in bed. Is this common?

As soon as we get into bed, we'll cuddle up and he'll say things like "You're perfect" and "You're so beautiful". He's never like this during the day but when he is, I love it and he makes me feel really happy. Anyone else's partner do this and is there a reason for it (or does he just want sex?)

My boyfriend isn't one of complimenting and stuff but he's much more affectionate when we're alone and we've some time to spare.
Maybe it depends on how long have you've been together and if his behavior is always consistent, but chances are he really likes you. Sex is just part of it?
If you don't want to for whatever reason you can always say so if it gets to that and see how he reacts. Either way I think it's best for you to assume he cares about you until he proves he doesn't.

It's probably a combination of sex and being intimate & alone... I don't think it's a thing where he's only trying to get laid. Sometimes out and about during the day the lovey dovey stuff isn't really appropriate. In bed alone it is, so he capitalizes on it.
