My boyfriend touches me in my sleep, is this weird?

One time I was falling asleep but not quite asleep yet, and I felt my boyfriend touching me, I went along with it and pretended I was asleep (I'm a heavy sleeper) he touched my a$$, chest, and other areas. After seeing what he was doing I "woke up" and acted like nothing happened to see if he would tell me and he didn't really say anything. Is this a normal thing guys do? Am I overreacting or is it kinda weird? It made me kinda uncomfortable.

Girlie, the keyword here is that it made you uncomfortable. You don’t need to justify or ask people what they think of a behavior if you weren’t comfortable with it


There’s a fine line between flattering and creepy. The mere act of touching an SO while they sleep in and of itself isn’t weird behavior, to tell you the truth. However, creepy is one of those “you know it when you see it”, no rubric.

It can be weird or not depending on what kind of touching it is. If it's a quick hug or holding hands, it might be a comfort thing. But if it's more than that, or makes you uncomfortable, you need to talk to him when you're both awake. Your feelings matter, and a good partner will respect your boundaries. First, was he awake or asleep? I ask because my girlfriend has sexsomnia. It's a version of sleep walking however she actually tries to actively have sex.

I am woken up with her often fondling or even giving me oral while she is fully asleep. He may have something similar or he may just see it as a way of showing intimacy and interest.

I suggest you discuss your aversion to being touched. You might even need to sleep separate unless you two can find a compromise. Communication is key.

why is it WEIRD?, Is your boyfriend at the end of the day, maybe husband in the future, who knows... what about in the morning when WE sleep and we have morning "wood", and either get touched or even "jumped on", while half asleep, should we find that Creepy/WEIRD?

Why are you sharing a bed with your boyfriend if you don't want to be touched? It is normal and common for people who have sex together and sleep together to touch each other. I'm pretty sure every girl I've ever slept with has done so with me and vice versa. It's one of the reasons to share a bed in the first place.
