My girlfriend's cat died and she's really upset?

She's had the cat since it was a kitten, it went off to die and now she's quite upset. The cat was around for most of her life so she had a real attachment and she's really down today. Is there anything I can do to help her or take her mind off it?

Maybe just be there for her, and hold her if she starts crying and listen to all the stories she has to say about the cat
