I made a really bad joke and my Girlfriend took it the wrong way :( How should I handle this situation :(? help please?

I just made a really bad joke without thinking before i said it, and my Girldfriend became really mad, and says that iam so fucking mean and now she went home and dont want to talk to me :(

I'am so fking sad and i know I made a mistake and im the idiot and i feel so bad... Because i really dont mean it what i said...
Iam that kind of guy that jokes a lot, and sometime it becomes to much and sometimes i dont think before i make a joke and sometime i make jokes during bad situations...

What should i do right now girls and guys? I really need advice and help... It really HURTS... I dont want to lose her :(

I told her sorry and everything when i got back, but she still left and was still really mad :(
i did show her how sorry i was and how bad i felt

People want you to have seen the error of your ways. Don't apologize because you don't want to lose her. Apologize because you sincerely feel you made a mistake. Show her you have learned from it.

That said, if you are someone who jokes around a lot and she doesn't handle your taste of humor well, think long and hard about if this is really going to work out in the future.

Stand firm, yet respect her emotions. Defend your joke, but tell her that you didn't mean for it to come off in the way that it did. But tell her that you apologize that it did. Then back off as if to say, "the ball is in your court." If she's still mad, then she needs time to cool off.
