My boyfriend said he loves me to an extent? What does that mean?

Seriously! What does that even mean? Especially after 2 years! I know 2 years isn't that long, but I feel like you would know if you loved someone by then. Aren't you supposed to love a person fully; flaws and all? Then, how can you love someone to an extent and then tell them you don't want to marry them? It's like breaking up, right?

I'm a man, and that makes no sense to me. I told my girlfriend I loved her after two months of knowing her. I believe I truly had feelings of love after knowing her for three months... I guess some guys just aren't very romantic, or perhaps they're afraid to show it. I don't really know. It just sounds to me like you're more into this relationship than he is right now, and that's not good news. Two years is quite a while. I wouldn't worry about the marriage part, because some people need to be with someone for a long time before they decide that they do want to spend the rest of their life with that person. It's a huge step, and it's one that people aren't so quick to take these days... But, just realizing that you're in love with a person shouldn't take two years. That's a little odd.
