First love never dies and other bullshit like that?

You know, the internet and media have truly put the wrong concept out there about love. Everywhere there are stories and opinions about how your first love never dies and people saying how their first kiss was simply the best thing that they ever experienced and have never felt that feeling ever since with anyone else. I mean, doesn't that sound a bit exaggerated? My current boyfriend was not my first love but I love him more than I have ever loved anyone before and to be very honest my 'first love' was a silly one month relationship back at high school which died a long time ago. A silly teenage love cannot even come close to the bond I share with my current boyfriend. Same with kissing.. my first kiss did not give me any intense or magical feeling that I cannot feel with my current boyfriend... it would be a bit sad if our first kiss was the best we could ever have as it would mean there's nothing to look forward to in life. So whats with all the exaggeration?

Your first love was not such a big deal to you because it wasn't really love. It was high school infatuation. My first love was 50 years ago, and she still is on my mind in a nice way. My wife was a far greater love, but that does not mean the first one is forgotten. And a love I had shortly after the first was very special, also, and to this day I would still like to be able to find her and talk to her just to see how many things turned out for her.

the media. tv and its degenerate contents. a sexualize culture is a dumbed down culture. dumb people are less capable of being happy and more likely to be controlled.

i dated 20 yr olds and they are frustrating to deal with. like theyre dumb and immature.

Some people have better first kisses than others I guess. Also, I think the exaggeration is normal because we live in a generation where love is idealized over everything else.

Loool it's annoying because it also creates problems in relationships. 90% of people are jealous of their partners 'first' - all because of the media putting these thoughts in their head
