Why does my boyfriend call me his wife sometimes?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 2 years and he likes to call me "wifey". Sometimes he will also refer to me as his "wife" though... not to other people, but he will just call me that when we're together. Or he will text me goodnight and say "Goodnight my beautiful wife" We haven't talked about marriage or anything and we are only 20 years old

Sounds like he may have the feeling that he want's you to be his wife, but he may not be sure how you'd take a proposal. He may not even know how to broach the subject. He might be waiting for you to give approval of being called "wife".

He sees a future with you, even though you haven't talked about marriage, he's showing that he wants to be with you forever. It's a good thing, be happy about it.
