Why does my boyfriend always make jokes about me being his wife?

I'd be weirded out if a girl was always going on about marrying me so soon. Sounds like he might be tryna rush things or something. Or maybe he's just messing with you? Hard to say for sure.

I'd just play it cool when he says that stuff. Don't get all freaked out or anything, just like smile and change the subject. Let him know you're not tryna jump right into that wife stuff yet. Enjoy dating and getting to know each other first before planning the big wedding, ya know?

Maybe have a talk too and be like "yo chill with the wife jokes, it's making me kinda uncomfortable." See what he says. Hopefully he'll back off if it bugs you that much. Otherwise seems like you guys have a good thing going so far! Just take it slow.

I have a best friend, he is a serial single. So every time we meet (he arrives tonight!!!) he calls me "baby" or "wifey" :D all our friends jus roll their eyes and ignore him. When for short time he had a girlfriend, he treated her the same way.

We are friends since primary school and this won't change, but he makes me laugh.

Sorry I read friend instead of boyfriend. He obviously likes and appreciates you but if you two just got in a relationship expecting him to propose is a bit premature. In the beginning everything and everyone seems perfect but I'd advise you both to wait a little longer before taking your relationship to the next level. Have a wonderful day.
