Honeymoon phase in a long distance relationship?

I've read that the honeymoon phase lasts about 3-6 months in a normal relationship. But how about in a long distance relationship? Is it the same? I'm currently in one (2 months) and I wonder when that happens.

The honeymoon phase fades out for people who are stupid, and who expect it to just... happen.

For people who realize that passion is something that needs to be regularly maintained and worked on -- like anything else of quality and depth -- the honeymoon phase can last indefinitely.

My husband and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary earlier this month (and boy did we celebrate...)
Our honeymoon phase is still going strong, and our marriage just keeps getting better and better and hotter and hotter.

But, we actually put effort into making damn sure it's gna stay that way.
We put each other first, ALWAYS.
We "sex up" innocuous things in our daily life, so that random everyday crap gets us hot and bothered for each other.
We've turned marriage and commitment into the two hottest, sexiest, dirtiest words in the world.
Honestly, it would be really fucking stupid for either of us to cheat on each other. Stupid -- and boring, too.

We've also put effort into OURSELVES, too. Because what's on the outside absolutely counts, and we've stayed fucking HOT for each other.
And we're both pretty brutal about keeping each other on track, too.

Fuck this "fading after 3-6 months" shit. If that were true, I'd be marrying a new boy every 3-6 months.

i have been in LDR for four months, and i dont know if we are still in the honeymoon stage i guess we are becuase we have never gotten into a real argument? lol i dont know but i feel like it is different for every couple.. everyone wants to compare relationships when in reality there is never the same kind of relationship out there...

LDR's are usually bound for failure mate... more likely if you met as an LDR..
about 2% of LDR's go through... and im talking about those within driving distance.
oh.. the honeymoon phase is real too... you said 3-6 months... it still degrades.. so unless you see each other physically... its still the same.

Yeah, we met online in a chat. Distance is 3-4 hours with the train. We've seen each other twice already. But usually with cam.

im sorry thats not true I've been in a LDR for 4 months now longest relationship I've ever been in and we are completely happy yes its hard dont discourage someone from them because they are not all the same...
