Do I read his messages during no contact?

If I imply the no contact rule (not contacting my ex at all for a certain period of time) and he sends me a text, should I read his message or not?

Should I read them and not reply, or should I just ignore them all together?

Which of these two options will make him worry if he's lost me more?

We'll he won't know if you didn't read them anyway. Just reading them might make nc harder for you

He would know. We text through whatsapp and on the app you can see if someone has read your message.
