What does it mean if a girl says she is becoming attached to a guy?

What I assume it means is that beyond physical attraction a woman likes how a man thinks and the passions he has and efforts he puts in them. It is the equivalent of communicating that she is interested in the possibility of knowing him more and cares to know more about him and possibly to care about what he thinks about her as a person as well as physically.

Hahah, ok but why is that considered to be attached. I mean can have interest & understand that I am not in a position in aiding them to fruition. Having interest & wanting to DO something about it, is having an appreciation, or a accountability , but it s still a choice.

Attached sounds like it is independent of will.

I think its a way of showing affection to a guy, or I've used it in the past to say I love you either to a friend, or to a guy I cared about before I was ready to say I love you. If a girl you're dating uses it, she may have really strong feelings for you. But than again, some people just toss it around like a smiley face, so it depends on the girl.
