Boyfriend has been on tinder during our relationship?

Just found out my boyfriend has downloaded tinder during times in our relationships. He said he gets it every time we have a fight and I'm not with him and he feels insecure, and it's a bad habit. He hasn't messaged any girls on it before but he had the intention to (just gets scared/feels bad). He's had and deleted it like 7 times. He lied to me about it when I first confronted him, but I kept questioning him and reasking my questions until he broke down and told the truth. He apologized and accepted the blame. I really love him and don't want to break up, but I don't know what to do. I'm in shock because he didn't seem like the type of guy to do that. I know he has depression and mental health problems, and he's starting to see a therapist this week. Should I really believe our relationship will get better?

If he doesn't have the stones to go through with it with these girls he should just delete the damn thing and resign himself to being with you.

He's just insecure and he obviously has issues. I wouldn't blame him too much, guys like that do weird things. I wouldn't give up just yet though, he seems like a nice guy, I'd give him a chance.

Yes, everybody has shit they've dealt with - doesn't mean they have 'mental health issues'.
Part of growing up is dealing with all the crap you've been dealt with. Healthy adults are able to discern reality and adjust. Those that can't are called 'maladjusted' and some become psychotic. Doesn't mean you have to hang around for it. GET OUT NOW! :)
