Do all latino men like being called Papi?

Hi everyone, I never really thought about it before but I was wondering if Latino men like being called Papi... My boyfriend is from Mexico and I wouldn't mind calling him that once in a while. I just don't know how he would react... Would he like it you think? And is it good to call a Latino? Please no negative comments.

Interesting question. You'll be surprised at how Latino people in general aren't butthurt about any of those things. If anything, Mexicans might be the most touchy with words and such, and yet I don't think they'll be upset if you call one "papi", most will probably laugh or like it.

You're talking about a culture that call black latinos as "negros" right in their face and don't get offended, and call Asians in general as "chinos" which means "chinese people" and people don't throw tantrums about it. Sure, the latter is ignorant, but at least people who grow up in that culture aren't easily offended.

Might be biased because I have lots of Latino friends and such. And even though I criticize things about their cultures, they aren't triggered that easily and aren't pussies about name calling. Just throwing this out there, hope it helps.

I know haha, my step mom talks about it sometimes to me. She thinks me and him would have cute babies... He said he wants to have 4 kids with me. It's scary to think about but I want him to be happy.

I was thinking only 2 lol.. We've had a few scares but nothing yet.. I wouldn't mind having a family in maybe 3 years.. I would want to start when I'm young so I have the energy.. Also because I always felt bad my mom had me when she was 40 and died when I was 19.. I didn't get much time with her I feel.

That's what I want, for them to be close in age.. My oldest. Brother is 17 years older than me, the next is 9 years, and then my sister is a year and a half older but we never got along.

Well I'm more attracted to Hispanics and Latinos... I'm not sure why, I guess because of their nice tan skin, accents, and they are very cute. They seem more loving too in my opinion... People in my family are good looking too so I guess that will help when I have kids haha. I look just like my mom. My sisters daughter looks like me, except she's blonde.

I call my boyfriend papi and he calls me mami, but then again we're both Mexican and speak Spanish fluently... I don't see why he wouldn't like it, so just go for it. Most Latinos are programmed at a young age to be big macho men when they grow up, so maybe it'll add to his ego? Anyway, the word is used loosely In Spanish, I call my son papi too, so it's not much of a sexy saying. Bc even in other Latin cultures men call each other papi. 🤐 Long story short... Just say it randomly without putting much thought into it and own it! 😁

The word "all" sounds too overgeneralizing. I wouldn't say all latino men would like or dislike to be called papi. They may have different reasons as to why they like or dislike being called papi. You should ask your boyfriend if he likes to be called that.

Every guy is going to feel differently about it, just try it and see his reaction. It's a lot more common in the Latin culture for women to call their guys that.
