Ok, I know this is going to sound gay, so I'll go anonymous.
But, have you watched the third vampire movie? (Eclipse)?
There's a scene where Jasper is explaining his past to Bella. How he fell in love with the woman who turned him into a vampire. But he discovered it was all a lie; she was just using him.
Then, later in the movie, there is a scene where Bella has a dream. She dreams of Maria talking to Jasper in Spanish. Telling him what to do. Manipulating him. Using him. Taking advantage of him, emotionally, sexually. But he trusts her, and completely surrenders and gives in to her, because she's his woman, and he's her man, or at least that's what he thinks, because he thinks their love it truly mutual. Then the scene switches over to Victoria, which is not as sexy, even though they're doing the same exact thing.

There's just something about that Spanish. I mean, it might as well be French or Italian, for its foreign language appeal. But that's not why it's sexy. It's not just the foreign language lure. It's a combination of that, with a primal male fantasy (the equivalent of the female rape fantasy; the being blindly and helplessly manipulated fantasy).
Guys don't want to "seduce" themselves. That's not sexy. Guys don't want to have to struggle and search for a reason to be turned on by their woman. No. They want the opposite. They want to "try their hardest" to NOT give in to the power his woman has over him, but be utterly helpless. They want her to be a master of manipulating him, emotionally, and sexually. Obviously, it's where a relationship gets after a lot of trust. But the FEAR that makes the fantasy EXCITING is "what if that trust is misplaced, and wrong?" What if she's not really "his woman," but only using and manipulating him, because she's just that good at getting what she wants from him; (phrased differently) getting him to do exactly what she wants.
Well, if she's that mentally and sexually quick, then it's no wonder that languages like Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian simply HIGHLIGHT the appeal of this fantasy in a WOMAN. They're just the right amount of romantic, w/o being overkill like French, Italian, or Greek. But they're also just the right amount of fast and quick, without being overkill like Chinese, or Hindi.
So, those slang bread-and-butter sexually suggestive phrases or words turn men on. Sure, there's nothing "sexual" about "mucho," but there are definitely more ways than Eclipse to make "mucho" "sexually suggestive."
Same thing goes for "pappi" and other words that are not explicitly, or all up in your face sexual.
I don't, I think it's kinda ridiculous. It's funny though, because I had a roommate in college who like the "Ay papi" bit (he was hispanic, though).
It's ignorant to say it's weird when you don't know what it really means. Latinos generally stop calling their dads papi as children when they begin to calll them papa. In Latino culture we honor our parents greatly. For example to say something is "all father" is like saying something is bad ass. When I call my boyfriend papi I'm basically saying I release control and he's in charge of me.
