Would you be with someone who doesn't have their shit together, but will "love" you better than anyone else?

Was listening to this awesome song, and made me wonder if people would be with someone who may never get their shit together, but who will "love" them better than anyone else.

It depends on the extent to which their shit is roaming freely.

If they have really serious issues- drugs, stealing, gambling, criminal behavior, total inability to keep a job or be responsible about their life in any way- then no. That is way too much for me to handle.

But if they just don't have their life totally on track for how they want it- not successful in their career, student debt, that sort of thing- but they are working on it, then yes, that's no problem at all.

It depends to what extent they 'don't have their shit together'.
If that just means they're between jobs or something (got laid off from their last one and are currently looking for another), that's fine. If it means they're a crack-addict who didn't even get their GED, though? No thank-you.

If he's young, yes. Tbh if he's under 26 I don't expect him to have his shit together. I would be a hypocrite considering that I'm not independent yet. But after he's 26 it becomes worrisome and I don't think we can make it work and raise a family with him.

I love that song and I really think that love doesn't really have to be perfect. It just is the way it is, with flaws and shit but still... its love and its beautiful

Here is my take from a relationship coaching perspective: If they are going to love you better than anyone else, they would have/get their shit together. The t would synonymous. Part of loving someone is taking care of them and letting them take care of you in return. Love is not merely a feeling, it is something that you do.

No one has their shit together. Thats what life's all about. We are all trying to get our shit together for all our lives and then finally taking a breath and say look I finally have my shit together. And then you die. Thats it. 😂 so obviously yes, I would.

I know that nobody will ever be perfect but if a guy told me I sit on a couch all day, can't do anything for myself, and never intend to have a job. He can love me from a distance because I won't break my back struggling to support him.

If he's at a crossroads in his life and he is making an effort to progress, then I don't see why I wouldn't give him a chance. That whole part about "I may never get my shit together" is worrisome, though.

Depends on the extent of getting their shit together. Getting arrested, drug use, always getting fired, etc are things I couldn't deal with.

A person who is trying to find their place in the world but struggles handily at it, is something I could deal with.
