Being broke is scary. If you are in it for a couple days then it's not bad. However, being in poverty will sap away your will. It breaks you bits by bits. You will be confronted with choices that you don't want to make. Choices that are made for you whether you want to or not. You will give up on something. It's not that big in the beginning but you will. Then it continues. Bit by bit as you slowly giving away your conscience, you honor, your dignity, your will, your life.

I remembered watching this movie years ago and it literally made my spirit very angry watching it and at the same time eventually cry. Anybody who would be stupid enough to endanger their marriage for the sake of that kind of money or ANY kind of money placed on the table, should NOT be getting married. Goes to show you how much you are willing to take for that kind of temptation. Even if it makes you broke poor, your marriage is too precious and priceless to even think of going that far. If I thought about marriage, and my spouse thought on it even ONCE, a slap he will get. And if anybody thought that this is okay -- that should be a major red flag.
This is a very tough question for me. I don't know if I could let my partner do that... If we really, really needed the money & he could promise me, without breaking eye contact, that is a 'once in a lifetime' situation, I'd probably agree. I personally wouldn't have any trouble being the one 'earning the money' in this case, because I know that I am perfectly capable of detaching my emotions from my body in this scenario. It's just business, nothing more than buying or selling something at a store.
I voted yes because I saw the $1,000,000 and initially thought "me and the people I care about would never have to worry about money again". But then the more I think about it the worse I feel about it. I know it's a lot of money but I'm really not that materialistic and the idea of my guy without anyone else makes me feel sick to my stomach. I'm just glad that this is highly unlikely and I'll never be put in the situation.
No... I value my marriage far more than anything else and though I appreciate how important money can be it doesn't come higher than our vows to each other. I know my husband feels the same way about it, and even if I felt differently I couldn't ask him to break it for money. I think over time it would fracture us
There was an experiment done on this. There are only two conditions for a random woman to say yes to having sex with a stranger for money: 1. She had to not be afraid (of getting caught, getting pregnant, std, her husband finding out, etc), and 2. She had to believe the proposal was real.
The amount of money it took varied widely, from about $100 to at most three months of her salary or tuition equivalent. That means figure out what her monthly salary is, multiply it by 3 and as long as conditions 1 and 2 are met, she will sleep with you for that much or less. The experiment found no woman who would say no, conditioned on 1 and 2.

However, there are plenty of women will will agree to sex for money online. It is far more common than you might think and by women you would not expect. They feel like online is more private.
I dont know how much but Id agree to it for less than 1 million or rather half a million each. If they do leave me then we weren't inseparable in the first place and Id agree to an even split with a certain degree of give and take to keep it out of the extortionate and predatory divorce system i've heard about. Just being realistic that sort of money can really give you a lot of freedom. Let you cut your hours improve your home you look your health and as a result self image or retire at 55 rather than potentially 70 something.
