Not necessarily true only with break-ups, but that's something both parties will experience even if they just spend longer than usual away from each other due to scheduling conflicts and whatnot.
In my experience, if you didn't appreciate what you had until it was gone, that means you're missing it for the wrong reasons.
I've never experienced it but my ex is really regretting the divorce.

I most certainly do agree most people don't know what they've Got Till It's Gone some people push you out the door before they realize they should have been keeping you in but by that time it's too late
