I think it's an admirable quality and I'd want that girl in my corner. I was like that for my wife, but she thought she was smart and would just hide events from me... which saw her ripped off more than once. Now almost 10 years later though, she knows better and even if she wants to give a loan or something, I'm always asked for advice on such matters first.

So in short it depends on the person if they like it or not, and people do change as well. Pride, feeling dumb, or familial loyalty could make them not like what is best for them.

My husband enjoys it but there is a line. I'll always voice my opinion and step up if I think he's being treated unfairly or taken advantage of but if he tells me to back off I need to respect his decision and not keep harping on about it (which I struggle with)

I have a really protective girlfriend and I like it at times but most of the time I hate it. there are boundaries, if you become a mother about it then it's too damn far if he laughs about it then that's when you're doing great
