My girlfriend and I haven't seen each other for a week and won't for another week, will relationship survive?

We saw each other a week and a day ago, and it will be until next Friday that we will see each other, will she get bored and our relationship die?

If you guys are in a relationship, then contact everyday or something close would be nice. But it doesn't have to be like you see each other everyday. It could be a quick call, text or whatever. Personally, I think that if someone is in a relationship, then they won't be shallow enough to just get 'bored' after not seeing each other for a couple of weeks. I mean, there are the times when people go on separate vacations and whatnot right?

I'm saying this because I have been through this too. I only see my guy once a week during the school year, but now it's summer so a bit more. But anyway, last year, we both went on vacation and we didn't see each other for a month and a half. Sure we emailed a couple times here and there but it wasn't the same. But ANYWAY, when we both came back, we realized the vacation was acutally good for us and made us realized how much we missed each other and it's after that vacation when he told me he loved me for the first time.

Anyway, that's my story but I think you guys will be fine! Just text or something, not obsessively though.

When you're over the age of say 18 and you're in a real, "grown up" relationship where you actually care about someone - you can go well over a month or two without seeing each other. Even when I lived 10 minutes from my boyfriend, we didn't see each other every day (although we could) and we didn't talk a lot all the time. That's how you get bored with someone and sick of someone.

If you're worried, web cam if you can and if not, then send her a cute picture of a "missing you" face and just call her (not too often) to talk. If your relationship dies after a two-week period of being apart - it wasn't the time that did you in.

Secure relationships can withstand months (soldiers' wives for example).

My girlfriend in University now a hundred miles away and you don't see me complaining. I have my worries and I talk to her about it. I get to see her once a week every weekend but sometimes I don't even get to see her for month.. Its hard but if the love is strong enough then you two will make it. Trust issues won't help.. Surprisingly I have some trust issues but my girlfriend understands due to my past so she helps me calm down. If its true it will work. The worst thing to do I to think about it. The more you think the worse it is. So try to keep your mind off it and all will work well.
