Would you let your boyfriend be a club promoter?

My boyfriend wants to be a club promoter in the city to make more money but it makes me kind of uncomfortable because I have known club promoters and as i understand it their job is basically to find girls to get into the club they are promoting and basically hang out with drunk girls. I get it that he says the job pays well but it really makes me uncomfortable for him to be in that environment. What do you think?

And this is why I always suggest talking about such things BEFORE becoming official. I personally wouldn't want to be with somebody who agrees to that kind of lifestyle , even of it is for money. There are just something's that cross the moral line for me. Now you can't force these beliefs unto another person, but if it makes you that uncomfortable you should still talk to him. But you don't have to be in a relationship where you feel constricted and likely to secretly resent him having such a job. You know that kind of environment, in a spiritual sense the kinds of spirits you pick up and forming habits or temptations on them that transfers God forbid unto you. Others may not see it as that
Others aren't going to care. But what others or what I say isn't going to matter. What matters to You about this situation? That is what matters right now since this is your dilemma.

I'm not a fan of "letting" my guy do anything. I would only hope he makes choices that are respectful to me and our relationship. If he's not making those kind of decisions, I'm not interested in being with him. What's his full time regular job?

tell him that it makes you uncomfortable and you know it pays well and you trust him but you dont like that kind of environment. You know him does he seem like the kind of guy to cheat or do you trust him enough to do a job like that?

So within my concept a used car salesman that just won't mention all the broken bits of a car in order to make a sale, will eventually bring the same methods home. i. e. eventually the wife/gf gets the guilt trip, ego push, cover up, or flat out lie that was once only practiced in order to make a sale.

So if his job is to _______, then expect him to end up ______ing with you eventually.

If you're older like me, I'm sure you've had that partner that finally gets a managerial position... that turns into a lazy shit that just wants to just make constant requests instead of doing anything themselves anymore at home. If you haven't anecdotally seen it yet... keep your eyes open, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about here in time.

Well first of all I don't think that's your decision to make as to whether he can be one or not. He's not your possession just like you are his. Regardless if he's going to cheat he's going to cheat, can't stop that. You just have to build a strong solid foundation together as one. If you have that fear as far as trust than you probabaly shouldn't even be w him.

I would dump him if he thought that was a legitimate career. Loads of women on divorce court are involved with club promoters. Their job is to charm and manipulate women. The good ones bring those characteristics home.

I don't "let" or not "let" my boyfriend do anything. He's an adult. But as for if you feel comfortable with this or not is something only you can decide and discuss with him.

If it is the best job offer he has at this point in time, I'm willing to put up with it but if its something he decided randomly as a potential lifestyle Im not into that. I get nightmares, and need to cuddle.
