Ohhhhh... you just hit a topic I'm very passionate about. I'm a black man and let me tell you my experiences.
-I grew up in a 98% white state. So, when people started dating in middle school and high school, White women didn't really want me. If they did want me, they were typically fat white women or white women who were into drugs and are in trouble. I was never attracted to that.
-I moved to Texas in '09 and I started becoming really attracted to black women. However, every time I would talk to a black woman, they would tell me they are interested in white men. Hell, even on dating sites, they all wanted white men.
-I'm not a stereotypical black person either. I have a 4 year degree, management job at an office, dress proper and talk correctly.
-10 months ago, I met another black who had similar experiences to me, and we have been dating for 10 months.
You're right, though! Our race tends to date outside our race. I talked to women and men within our race who tend to date outside our race and here are some things that said:
-mixed babies are beautiful
-black men are too agressive and only want sex
-black women are too ghetto and only want a thug
-black men don't know how to treat their women
-black women complain too much and expect too much
I think it's sad, honestly. I think one of the biggest reasons our race dates outside, is because they are ashamed of who they are and don't want to be with someone who is black.
It also doesn't help that tv shows and movies glorify black/white couples. I watch a lot of superhero shows and it's usually a black/white couple. When they are together, everything seems fine, not a lot of drama, lol of love and affection. I also watch shows like Empire and when black couples get together, it's nothing but drama. Same with these reality hip hop shows. It's teaching people that if you are black and date a white person you will have a better and loving relationship. That's what I see on TV these days. We need more shows where there are strong black couples, like Black-Ish.
That's weird. I don't understand what you mean that you are not a "stereotypical Black" person. You dress "proper"?
:D
@RolandCuthbert what's weird? What are you not getting? Lol. This image is the stereotype: estrip.org/.../425px_Sagging_crop.jpg
People, thanks to the media, look at black people tall tee shirt wearing, tatted up, chain wearing, sagging no class people. I was simple addressing that I don't fit the stereotype that people have for black people. I don't have that "thug" look the media portrays black men as having.
I'm very casual in what I wear, similar to this:
static.fashionbeans.com/.../idriselbalooks-1.jpg
That's all I'm saying. I don't adhere to the stereotype in regards to how the media shows black men dressing.
Maybe I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying that's what "Black" folks usually wear. Sure, some young folks like that weird fashion.
But I work for a number of different firms. I interact with "Black" folks all day.
Haven't seen any underwear yet.
Just saying.
@RolandCuthbert lol. Noooooo, I wasn't saying all black people dress like the first image. Lol. I merely saying that the media portrays us like that. As a result, people who don't know black peoples portray us like that, which is far from the truth.
I don't know what to say to you little one. You seem confused. Do you want to date a "White" guy. . . but you don't want to carry around guilt for doing so?
Are you confused about being a member of a race?
Are you perhaps just learning now that you are a member of a culture?
I don't know what to say. After reading through the thread, you seem all over the place.
My dating choices over my life have to be at least 70% "Black" women. I was married to a woman who I thought was the love of my life for 11 years. She was "Black". The photo of the woman above is absolutely stunning.
I dated a "Black" college professor for a number of years, if you want I will send you her info in PM, so you can verify yourself.
Maybe you need to stop reading the hype. Maybe you need to get out and hang out with some of us nerdy "Black" brothers.
You might see things differently.
Sorry! I just had to post a photo of "Smart Brother". A man I definitely identify with.
I don't look like him by the way. Just another one of those nerdy educated brothers. You know. . .

@danielkaluya
Lightweights crack me up.
Well, I see there was a brother that I have had run-ins before on GaG, DanielKaluya. Of course, he has said some very derogatory things about "Black" women. I am not sure what to say. I mean, I know a few "Black" men who have accepted insane racist stereotypes of "Black" women. But if you notice, somehow, they do not apply those same negative "Black" stereotypes to themselves. It has always been odd to me, the way "Black" people play the self-hate game. They think somehow, they can feel better about themselves by coloring other "Black" people in the most negative light possible.
I am sorry for that little one. You don't deserve to have to hear such horrible things. And it pains me. It pains me that young "Black" women have to deal with such horrible treatment and stereotypes. But I can't do anything but love you all.
I love you all and I pray that all "Black" women find happiness.

I don’t believe in race I do believe that people who do believe in race so much they become a stereotype especially with the new rap music (2 phone) drugs (Bad in bougie) drugs and sex it effects weak minded people no matter color it brings out the ghetto in all people so don’t date in race date someone on the same level but I do prefer Hispanics mmmm papi
I already answered this, possibly (depends on the person)

Nowadays I can say 25% yea 75% no we don't! 25% yea because we love our culture 100% & black women are one of the most strongest woman kind ever... 75% no because y'all tend to want to go toe to toe w/ your significant other instead of being submissive an either be a team player (Where y'all achieve goals together as 1) or let the man take the lead an y'all follow (Not saying being a slave to him but have his back 100%) ( Or y'all come up w/ a solution to where if his plan doesn't work y'all use input or give the man a different scenario) Not only that y'all tend to not know how to separate time from friends & family to build with your significant others as well... That's why you see a lot of black celebrities go after white & foreign women because they understand us better an stand be side us 100%... Instead of trying to tear us down & complain an figure out ways to make the situation that we're going through better an stronger... Without people on the out side of the relationship input... It's so simple but black women making it so hard...
I never said ALL! But just take time out to look at the ratio out here in today's world it's more black single parents out here than any other race... why is that? Put it like this my parents been married for 38 years now... I'm pretty sure they went through things... But they wasn't so quick to leave like our generation is now... Plus they cater to one another... They both help eachother get they're businesses off the ground... They didn't call the quits because of he say she say things due to the outsiders... Plus they make sure eachother needs are met before they leave home everyday... That's how it's suppose to be... Like I said they have had ups an downs but still are together going hard at at!
Now I just want you to see how defensive you got over a opinion of mine... See that's what I mean y'all wanna raise up in defense when you ask for opinion take the time out to understand... Please!
No wonder you are anonymous.
"We have no one to defend us"

mmm. . . That doesn't sound very strong and independent to me
iruntheinternet.com/.../...umbs-up-1407541825R.gif
"black men have abandoned us"
The gubbiment hasn't abandoned you though, yo cans still get gibs for 'nuffin
Look at the word "independent" is another word for solo... or Single... ! So of course your gonna always have a selfish mentality when your in the dating world... Because you implying a image to men you don't need one... Not a good look... Black women don't understand that... y'all rather look for help but never wanna help... Where's the balance? Help build eachother up... Stop watching Real Atlanta housewives an focus on how Jay-Z & Beyonce made millions together an still together... That's Team playing... An they went against family an friends to get to were they are today as well!
But most women aren't like the MGTOW description of them. Most just want to be protected and taken care of.
Even the ones I have met who have successful careers just want to be somebody's baby.

@RolandCuthbert lol
i feel justified in my preference for African women.
they the yin of my attraction... the yang being in Asia
i really would be accepting of any race with the right person
Don't know about black men, I like black women, they tend to be kind
The only reason you feel unprotected is because you identify with your race. You're just you. If you stop concerning yourself with what race is interested in yours I think you'll have a much better time
It's not wrong to identify with something, but you should identify with something that actually matters. Identify with your family, Identity with you community, or your faith, or your friends. I don't think we should be identifying with people who have nothing to do with us simply because they have the same skin color as us. Identity is most certainly important, that's why we should be identifying with things that actually matter
Some do... that much is obvious at least to me. Interracial dating gas definitely become more of a thing in the past 2 decades than ever before. Personally, I prefer to date beautiful women. Beautiful inside and out. Color regardless.
I just think we get discouraged with the choices of black women. Every black chick I like has a kid already or is rude or doesn't take her looks seriously. They'll also look down on you for not being as educated. If you speak standard English or "like a white boy" then they might as well get a white boy in their mind. They also don't want babies with "nappy" hair. I get that they don't want their children to go through the same torment that they did as a child for having course hair.
lol why down vote instead of disputing my claims
It is kind of hard to dispute something that isn't based on anything factual. I have dated a lot of "Black" women. I don't think I have ever dated one who already had children. My ex doesn't even have a child.
We all have our personal experiences
Right.
Why don't you say that, rather than make claims on objective facts that are non-existent?
You can go now
Lol you trippin guy
get gone fool

Im white and id date black women if that helps most of the black women i knew seemed super sweet and smart.
Though i'm not sure id make a great body guard to anyone as far as protection goes.
Most of my friends of African descent who are men do seem to always pick women of Caucasian descent. Though a very select few only date those of African descent. Why? I have no idea.
That odd since in America, African immigrants have the highest rates of "intra-racial" marriage.
Of coarse they do. Most men can appreciate any women.
Maybe they do, but most black women don't want black men.
I love black women of all shades.
I do too... But you have to be honest about the situation...
The media is trying to shove it down people's throats to mix more race between black and white because that's what makes people mad at the end of the day
Because men dont want a female thug. Men dont want to rase other mens kids, hell im white and after my experience i dont wanna date black women
Little one, don't worry about talking to racists. Just ignore it.
@Rolandcultbert my experiences dont make me s racist if u dont like what i say then too bad.
@ssing4166 so far it isn't as bad as dating a black woman. My ex physically abused me when she got drunk, i had to be on the phone with her whenever i wasn't working at sitting in class reason because another female stole her babys father. There was more drama with my ex that i refuse to dste black women because i am tired of their shit.
That was just a rant. "Black" women have nothing to do with your poor choices in women. Choose better dates and you will have a better experience.
I get it man u like the female thug well good for you, i like my females to be feminine and un my 32 years of being here i have yet to see a feminine black girl.
They are all around you. You like thuggish women, that's why you dated them. And they kicked your can.
Let me play you a sad, sad song.

Why black men specifically?
History proves that both true and false. And not weird at all. It's a valid question.
So they say.
Some do some don't
"Equality"
Weird question.
Yeah
That racialism
