This I feel is the most awkward and hardest part of a possible relationship
How do I take the next step to getting a girl to become my girlfriend?
This I feel is the most awkward and hardest part of a possible relationship
What makes this awkward and hard is the simple fact that this is the make it or break it question. Once you ask her to be your girlfriend, well she can either say yes or no and most of us are not prepared to find out the answer is no.
Put it this way, you have two choices. You can either be afraid you will hear no and hesitate or ask her in a way that will clearly look sad and wimpy or you can have confidence and just ask her. If you two have been dating for several months (not just weeks), you are kissing and she shows other signs of interest, I think you have waited long enough. You might as well go for broke, ask her to be your girlfriend, show confidence and see what happens. Waiting longer won't change her mind, it will just prolong the time that goes by before you find out.
I think you're just afraid of getting an answer you don't want from her, and so that's why you're not just asking her out already, I think you should just ask her out. I know that's easier said then done but otherwise you'll never know. Also, your gut is usually right about knowing if someone likes you or doesn't like you. At the very least just ask her to hang out, like not a date necessarily but just see if she says yes to hanging out and see how it goes. Also, if she asks if it is a date try and read whether she seems like she wants it to be or not before you answer that question if she seems like she would want it to be then definitely be like "yeah, if you feel the same way" Just cause you don't want to say no and unintentionally hurt her ego.
It seems like the next step is to hang out with her outside of wherever you know her from.
