Say a girl is having a car problem on and off. She asks her boyfriend repeatedly to help her check it. He fails to do so. But then her guy friend notices that she has issues so he comes and checks it out. She allows another man to fix her car problem

Honestly I don't see a way this can turn out well. Either she has to live with what's broken or risk obliterating the relationship. It's a lose-lose situation.

I think you're better off just taking your car to a professional mechanic whom you don't know personally.
