Love eventually kills you, meaning you'll go through pain if it leaves you alone, but you'll also go through pain by fighting to hold onto it.

there's a lot of things you might have to give up that once made you who you were. Some say love kills their former self, and they end up just being a shell of who they once were. Next thing you know you're 40, taking care of a couple kids, working a 9 to 5 to pay the bills and cleaning out gutters on weekends.

Love is fun and games, and then it slowly kills you until you're dead.

But it is possible to make it through. Not many do, but it's possible.

Hold onto your dreams as tight as you can. Find someone that'll help you keep a good grip on it too.

They're trying to say love feels good at first but after some time it turns toxic and it will eventually kill you. But I disagree, falling in love with a wrong person especially an abusive person can make someone feel like love is a cigarette, but if you fell for the right person, your life will feel like a beautiful blessing. You'll become a better person, you'll be happier, you'll do everything you could to keep them happier and you'll want to grow old with them.

To me it means this;

At the beginning, love feels so fresh and so amazing. A new relationship can feel like a sweet restart button on life. But then things could go wrong later on such as a breakup or the relationship itself being toxic. Thats what "kills" you
