Here's the thing, I went with a couple of my friends (all girls) to the beach last weekend. I told my boyfriend and asked him if he wanted to come, which he declined. So then I'm getting ready the day-of, and was wearing a swimsuit with a style similar to the picture. He came in and asked if that was what I was going to wear. I said yes. He started going on about how revealing it is (I don't think it is?), and finally I asked him his point to which he said I couldn't wear it, he wouldn't allow it. We got into an argument and I eventually said screw it since I had to go and wore it anyway. He's been very distant and basically giving me the silent-treatment since, which is awkward considering we live together.
Am I in the wrong here?

I would, but I'm also weird somewhat. While this isn't too revealing, even if my girl wanted to dress slutty for me while we were out and about. I would be completely fine with it. Because i'm taking her home. To me, it's a matter of being secure or insecure about your girl in the relationship.
He's either very conservative, or insecure about other guys looking at you and being attracted to you enough to try and get you/"take you" away from him. While more or less putting the blame on you for "inviting" other guys in by dressing as if you were single. With the assumption that dressing modest means dressing as if you're dating someone, which is another kind of stupid. You dress revealing to get a guy, then cover up to keep him? Sounds like a recipe for a boring long term relationship. In my opinion
but he clearly has culture values... those are sometimes stronger than religious he's out of his mind if he thinks you can't wear functional clothes to a beach with water and sand...
he needs to let you live and be free, you aren't his property
This is a tall tale sign of you better wake up and either address this situation immediately or get away from him do not ever let a man tell you what to do or allowed him to treat you any differently because you decided to wear what you wanted to do if you have give him no reason to doubt your loyalty to him then he has no reason to act like that I don't give a crap if you were walking around in a string thong if he is confident in his self stuff like that would not bother him so it is obvious that he's very insecure and you need to sit down and talk to him and address those feelings before something blows out of proportion and hands at bossing you around and telling you what to do and then you become unhappy and be in a poor relationship
That's a normal swimsuit. Most people on a beach wear a swimsuit. I really don't see how he thinks that's too revealing for the occasion. Obviously you could've worn a wetsuit that covers everything, but that's just ridiculous.
There is a line between inappropriate and appropriate, even for the beach where people wear skimpy outfits anyway. But that's in no way inappropriate.
Thats literally like the swimsuit for a mormon. Wtf kind of guy are you dating, obviously he's not from this century or needs to move to iraq, they may wear clothes more his preference
If he's mad at this how would he react to a skimpy bikini? Perhaps it's the style that he's mad about. Personally I love it and I'd wear it too but maybe it's not his style.
