What about you?

Yeah, my wife and I love doing stuff like this. One of the things I like about living in Oregon is that there are dozens of ghost towns across the state, from the Wild West times up through about the 1950's. I'd say we've been to maybe half of them at this point. We go out into the desert once a year for about a week to visit places like this - ghost towns, abandoned homesteads, abandoned military sites, old ranches and disused lighthouses. We've done the same in Utah, Nevada and Arizona.
I also enjoy visiting places in Europe. One of my favorites is what appears to be a guard tower or something right along a motorway in County Clare in Ireland. It's falling apart and it isn't any larger than say, a garage. It's probably 600-800 years old judging by nearby castles (King John's and Bunratty), and now it's being used as... a telephone pole.
There's another keep up on a cliff somewhere in between Erfurt and Naumburg in Germany that I've got on my list to go check out. At the base of the cliff is a little town with an Arby's. It's an interesting juxtaposition between old and new right there. I saw it from a train headed towards Leipzig. I'm headed back to Europe in a few months and I'm going to try to work visiting that place into my itinerary while I'm there.
That sounds really cool, I can only imagine the kind of adventures you've had in those excursions in such different and varied places all over the world!
Never had a partner, but it's sounds adventurous and exciting.
One of my really old school's got burnt down a really long time ago and years later, I have been there, just to like hang out, but it's been boarded off for years now, probably due to safety.
It was divided into different buildings - 1, a small burnt down one, only about the size of a smaller classroom. 2, a bigger area, where most things would be, but it was unfortunately boarded off or hard to get in, even before it was all blocked off. 3, if you went down some stairs, there was a separate building where we'd all go swimming, though I think the gate was opened and it must have been boarded off first.
The thought of exploring a place like that just sounds exciting to me for some reason.
A lot of vacant tenements and brownstones in Detroit. Being 20 years old I'm just coming off the teen years where we spent a lot of time in the "Vacants", getting high, making out, a lot of candlelit partys. Last year we found a dead ole stinking woman, murder victim had been there at least a week.
Usually you just find the rubbish and meager belongings of those that vacated. It's always been creepy shit to do.
Damn, finding a dead body must be something traumatizing and horrible.
My girlfriend showed me some bones and a skull when we went to the abandoned graveyard and one of the oldest tombs was broken open, but a murder victim is another whole story.
Yeah we had to stash our buds and then call 911 so they dispatch a squad. Then the guys panicked and took off leaving me and my girlfriend. So that looked funny, what are two young girls doing creeping around vacants ?
It must have been horrible.
Dead bodies are the worst for me, especially when they start to deflate.
Oh yeah, she had already swelled up and busted before we found her. August in Detroit, in a boarded up tenement building.
I've heard Detroit is a great place for urban archaeology. Or something - I can't remember what they call it but basically exploring old buildings and tunnels and such.
Her skull was busted open and the papers said "evidence of rape" but they think she was just dumped there. We know it was less than s week because we were in that building a week before and it didn't stink like death.
We didn't intend to "explore", the "vacants" were our teen playgrounds. We partied there, made out there, when we ran away we ran away to the vacants. Should've been scared going up into them. The fool things we do when there are few good options.
I've never done that but that sounds like fun. I would totally be up for that. The older I get, the more interested in history I become. When you're young, you often look more forward. When you're old, you look back.

Sounds very adventurous! I'd love something like that!
We like walking through old graveyards. One's that are at least a hundred years old, but preferably much older. Like they have in some parts of New England.
Old graveyards and churches are the best in my opinion.
Last week we visited one and she even showed me some bones and a skull from one of the oldest stone tombs (date was 1880-1940) was broken open because of time and weather.
Yes, some of them here have Latin or prayers inscripted on them.
I guess that one got broken for that reasons or some other I don't know, my girlfriend told me there's an abandoned monastery which the tombs' plates are just put there and not even affixed, so theoretically we could move them aside and look at what is inside.
Yeah, even though I don't know how many blood you can draw from bones that are more dust than anything else.
Hell yeah! I love spooky shit! Lol horror movies, creepy houses and haunted tours all that stuff. I think that’s fun
Yes, it's kind of exciting!
Fun!, yes, find old barns or towns. I like walking through graveyards and reading the history. I think it's cool now can put a QR code on gravestone and pull up website to see that persons history, very interesting.
inexcusable. If you guys break up can I have her number😉I love exploring where mankind had gone before. Your like the luckiest man on earth (and possibly the moon)
Inexcusable what? I like visiting those places and the hiking helps me stay in shape!
I got only a bit weirded out that time she showed me the bones and picked up a skull from a century old broken stone grave.
Don't worry 👍👍.
I get the sexual titillation of being able to DO anything (naked) in "a town" with small risks of being caught, otherwise she must be either an art/architecture historian bore
Its the best feeling i once had sex in a park with a towel around us and suddenly people with dogs come by and it was the most crazy experience ever they started talking to us but they make it look like they didn't know anything.
I don't have a partner, but I do love exploring and damn that sounds amazing!
Yes, sometimes you can discover really unexpected things!
Where I live, that much building space would never go to waste.
Thankfully we have laws here to prevent building speculation on protected or landscape areas.
That sounds intriguing and very fun! If my guy was down for that, I would be too.
I personally would not be inclined to explore them, but I would be okay with it if my partner brought me along to explore them.
Yes but I have a law sensitive job so I don’t do it for fear of being arrested.
Yes! I'm going to take my boyfriend to the old, goldrush era ghost town part of my hometown next summer.
Don't have any type areas even remotely close sadly
No, anything that far outside the city is kind of scary to me.
I enjoy it very much, but I never did it with my wife.
More on that later.
We've never done it before but I imagine it'd be interesting.
I've been to a few rundown places, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham etc
I've visited some castle or Roman ruins with former partners
Yes totally love going out to remote places and coming across building etc
I don’t have a partner but I explore them on my own.
At some point of my life, yes, I enjoyed that. Not anymore... unless the place is beautiful and not scary.
I would have loved to have done this with my ex but unfortunately he lacked motivation and interest in exploring. 😏
Yeah there's this old ruined monastery near my town and me and my ex used to hang out there a lot. Hqd picnics there and stuff like that.
I don't need a partner to enjoy that stuff. I would rather go by myself. Abandoned places are so cool. Some can even be turned into something special. Like a hideout spot. Hell, even a second home.
I don’t have a partner, but I would enjoy doing that
Noooo I like exploring different places and counties title that travelling haunted places no
No i do not they are just knock down houses or junk yards
Hmmm... it depends... if I was together with my partner they yes I would most certainly go with him, but I wouldn’t wanna step foot there alone that’s for sure!
I don't have a partner but i would totally enjoy doing that. My state has a lot of places like that.
I would love to do that with everybody, although people aren't willing to do that
I'm really skittish about those kinds of places but if I was able to go with somebody, I'd be more inclined to explore. It might be neat.
I dont have a partner but I love exploring abandoned places
In Greece I like going through abandoned houses some are across the street from my family house there.
I would be glad to do it! Perhaps I could uncover the mystery of why these places were abandoned. And of course.. Not a bad place to search for skulls to add to my collection!
No ! Because I follow a Youtube channel which go to the exploring abandoned and places.
I would LOVEEE too do that w/ a good friend or whoever i get along w super well 😄😄
It's not something I've foreseen personally with a partner! But I'd love to!
I do. I actually wanted to do a blog where I stay at the most haunted places in the world.
Wow, actually such a great date idea
Id love that!
I'd enjoy it too.
My girlfriend loves ghosttowns so yes.
I've never done that before but that sounds like an amazing experience!
My vagina is rundown and abandoned
Probably haunted too.. 😬
I do it with friends but it would be fun to try
I'll do it with or without them. They either come with me or stay behind.

I prefer do that alone
I dont want to go near those areas
I wish I could get my girl into this. Sounds fun!
