I like him too much, too soon! How can I dial myself back?

Dating a man and we get along great...but I 'wear my heart on my sleeve! He knows I am totally infatuated with him, and I think that makes him somewhat uncomfortable. I need to dial it WAY back, I just don't know how!

If you think it is making him uncomfortable, well you are probably right. All I can say is that it is important to consider who or what you are infatuated with. In other words, right now you cannot possibly know him completely or particularly well. So, you are infatuated with an image. Think back to any other times in your life you fell in love with an image that did not end up really representing the man you finally came to know.

When you date you should date with your eyes open. Don't put on those rose colored glasses, even when you fall in love. Instead, keep in mind that you have a ways to go, maybe a year to a year and a half, before you really have had the time to get to know a person. By doing all of this you should be able to pull yourself out of the infatuation zone, take it slower and end the behaviors that are making this guy uncomfortable. Face it, he may be quite worried about what image you are falling for and whether he will live up to your expectations. Slow it down for both of your sakes.

You do know how. You just DO. Try to occupy yourself with something else so it won't always be about him. Don't be too needy or clingy. Do less but not too less of what you been doin with this guy. Its mainly you focusin too much on him and not givin him some space if you know yall are always seeing each other. Less is more. You want him to think you have a life too even if you dont. Don't always be so available to a man ever because they sont like to be the sole entertainment of your life. Seems desperate. So enjoy him still but turn it down a lil.

LOL...I think you misunderstand me, I'm not talking about sex...there are no worries in that dept! :0)

It's just that I have such a CRUSH on him, and at my age it is funny...but true! And like some other wise folks pointed out, I do NOT know him really, it is just that everything is so awesome between us, that I get carried away!

personally when I arrive at death's door, and he answers, I want him to say "what the hell happened to you?!?"
