Is it a good sign if she texts you to say she's sorry?

Yesterday, I texted her at around 9:30pm to ask if she wanted to go for a coffee. She answered back at around 11:30 asking if I went to coffee with someone else (I was asleep and didn't hear the ringtone). Later, at about 1:00, she texted me again saying she was sorry she didn't answer back quickly as she was to the movies with some friends (a friend of hers and the boyfriend of the other girl).

She knows that usually I would be awake at 11:30 on a Friday night, so was she scared I was pissed off she didn't answer my text for coffee quickly? We talk to each other a lot, but we don't often see each other for real. I'm interested in her, and I'm sure she at least knows I must be feeling something for her. Would a girl really send a text back at 1:00am saying she's sorry she didn't answer to any guys?

Btw, the 1:00am text woke me up and we texted til 2:00am-2:15am.

I think she was just saying she was sorry that she didn't answer your right away I think your reading to much in to it and if you answered her back and you texted till 2:15 then I say your just reading to much in to everything, and I don't think she was trying to get at that you was out with someone else because it sounds like both of you are very interested in each other. Just try to make plans a few days before hand never hurts to have plans but some people don't like to make plans because they can change a lot best of luck sounds like you might have a relationship starting

Well, firstly it is better to plan ahead. Asking her out for a coffee at 9:30pm is a little too late in my opinion. Take it as a lesson. When you texted her this late, she already was busy with other plans. So planning ahead works to your advantage :)

Secondly, yes it is perfectly OK for her to apologize at 1am. She obviously cares about what you think, she's even worried that you might have been with someone else.

Overall, you have nothing to worry about. Just in future try to plan ahead so that you can avoid repeating this same situation again.

Yeah, guess I should've. Guess I was a bit too nervous, usually, we get to see each other 2-3 times a week, one of them for like an hour and this week I saw her once for 5 minutes before one of her exam she was stressed about. It's just nerve-raking to not be able to see her for real and see for sure if she likes me. But you're right, next time, I'll ask a few days before. Thanks again

It's just frustrating to have conversations that last 2 hours (or 4 the other day...) on MSN, yet, only see each other between classes for like 5 minutes where it's not the most awesome moment to ask her out on a ''date''

I think the fact that she asked if you went with someone else and then apologized really does mean she feels something ;) and the fact that you guys had a texting conversation afterward is a good sign too. she wouldn't have stayed up that late talking to you if you didn't mean something to her. Take is as a good sign my friend, and look into what you could make happen between the two of you.

I think it definitely a good sign she 1) asked if you went with someone else, it obviously means she was worried/jealous. 2) since she texted you again later, apologizing she really wanted to make sure you weren't angry with her.

i think she is genuinely sorry and I think her texting you again at 1 to say sorry again was kinda her way of making sure you guys were on good terms.
